Uses of Hemp
Hemp is one of nature’s wonder plants. It is fast growing and has been used for centuries in hundreds of products. It was one of the first plants to be spun into usable fibre 10,000 years ago.
It is a member of the Cannabis sativa species, as is the more common Cannabis plant known for its higher THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) content that gives users the high feeling.
Both plants contain CBD (cannabidiol) and THC, along with over 500 over components. In Hemp, the THC levels are normally very low. The products that we stock will either have extremely low trace levels of THC (below the legal limits), or will have had all the THC removed.
Nothing goes to waste with the hemp plant and the whole plant can be used in a variety of ways. The image below shows a few of these uses.
